Our efforts at Hot Meals for All were covered in the Phuket News this week. Click here to read the article! This has been a wonderful recognition of Sunee and Aland's efforts, but also raised awareness in the community about what the program is trying to do. We have to thank our existing donors, volunteers for sticking it out thus far. The results have been great!

We have had a number of inquiries from volunteers and also donors. So thank you everyone for your kind generosity. This is a community effort and every little bit helps. To volunteer time or provide donations in kind, please email us at hotmealsphuket@icloud.com to arrange.

To donate $$, please click on our donation link up top!

UPDATE: The kitchen is closed this week Oct 4-8 due to a set of kitchen repairs that need to be made. We will be up and running next week, coming back bigger and better with more delicious HOT MEALS!

Menu: Winter melon chicken soup, glass noodles with rice

Meals served: 150

We didn't any volunteers yesterday which meant Sunee and Aland were alone cooking and packing. The food is delicious as usual, but it is always a challenge to serve more meals with less hands on board. Do email us if you wish to volunteer your time to help pack food.

Also, check out our latest performance stats. HOLLAR! we are meeting all our goals and creating the desired community impact. CHECK IT. We take pride in providing full transparency on our food relief operations and make sure we spend every single donated dollar/ THB. We are not fully funded yet, so please continue to donate.

Big Up for the Hot Meals for All team:

- Served more than 4,000 meals since we started this campaign (in late Aug)

- Using majority paper packaging

- Stopped use of carrier plastic bags. Food collectors now bring their own bag

The success of this food relief drive has been the work of many good people. Sunee, Aland and her family at the New Beginnings Calvary chapel, the fundraising team and the volunteers who have committed time to help pack food. Much thanks to the many donors, many of whom are living out of Thailand but wish to help out with the plight of the locals in Phuket. Big hearts!

And not to forget the kind donors who gave food, staples and rice to help defray the costs of running the kitchen. Thank you everyone. We have so much to be proud of!

Menu: Thai fish cake with fried egg on rice, chicken porridge and Gaeng Som (sour tuna curry soup)

Meals Served: 175

Today we featured a really wide menu. Nonetheless, all the food was gone in 15minutes. Our food service is getting really popular, with the queues now snaking around the block. Normally, I am sure the boutique hotel next door would be highly irritated, but given everything is shut down in Patong, no problems!

We also received generous donations of rice and eggs, papayas (last week) from locals. Thank you! These foods help to defray the cost of our kitchen and we can then cook up more packs for the needy.

300 eggs can make a lot of Thai Omelettes!

Simple and nutritious!

Should you wish to donate in kind and whip up meal packets or provide staples, do not hesitate to contact us at hotmealsphuket@icloud.com. We also would like to raise money as it allows us more flexibility to purchase what the kitchen needs. So, if you can, please donate something.

And sometimes, you may live in the most beautiful place in the world, but yet, it can feel like hell on earth when you and your family are hungry, jobless and lacking in options. This is the Patong beach we all know, now pristine, beautiful and cool in the evening sun. What is missing? Tourists, businesses, and an economy.

After a hard day of packing food, it is nice to sit on the beach and look at how beautiful Phuket is.
