We closed the kitchen on Mon/ Tue this week and back to serving meals this week to the needy. We are gradually reducing the food packs as the economy recovers. This is good news as we already see some of the working poor such as motorbike taxis getting back on their feet.

6 Jan - Sardines with vermicelli and vegetables [228]

7 Jan - Chicken tom yum, fried noodles [168]

Happy new year and have a good 2022! should you wish to donate to our project, please do so using this link. Hot Meals for All.

Post-Christmas, the team is knackered from distributing the Christmas Grace bags. We had to shut the kitchen on Monday in order to take a breather. Busy schedule resumes on Tuesday. We have had fewer volunteers this week due to the Christmas period - many are traveling or tied up with celebrations. We are reminded of the many needy around us and Aland and Sunee are tirelessly helping to provide a hot meal. Please help us continue our work.

Of exciting note, we started out with an ambitious goal of providing 150 food boxes a day in Aug 2021, which we increased to 200 boxes per day as a goal once we got our initial funding in place. That meant we were looking to target c. 13,500 meals up till Dec 31. And we have knocked those stats out of the park. With the same money, we have managed to make 18,587 Meals. All thanks to Sunee's innovative menu that is economical and delicious. And we have maintained our motto of swapping out plastic packaging.

Key Stats to Celebrate:

- 18,587 meals served vs goal of 13,500

- Cost/pack THB 26 (US$0.80) vs budget of THB 32 (US$1)

- Hired 2 part time staff to help out Sunee; and they themselves used to collect our food packs!

- On route to overachieving on 20,000 hot meals by 31 march.

However, we do have to keep fundraising as we now see the signs of travel restrictions coming back in place due to spread of Omnicron. This means more hard times ahead as small businesses shut and large travel/ hotel businesses curtail employment. We had a good run leading up to New Years...but it is clear that many restrictions will come in thereafter to stop Omnicron spread. Unfortunately due to poor government measures, the stop-start directives are messing up people's ability to secure employment and money. So, please help us in our endevours to provide 1 hot meal every day to those in need. DONATE HERE

We distribute our food to the needy around Patong as well as to local Burmese camps.

As we welcome the new year, we would like to thank our volunteers, Aland and Sunee, their family for contributing their time and their energy to this project. Hot meals for All is a great success and we have helped so many families in need. A good pat on the back for all of us as we step bravely into the new year!
