Menu: Papaya fish curry and rice

Meals served: 150

Today, Sunee made wonderful papaya fish curry and rice to give away to the many hungry stomachs queuing up for food. There seems to be no end in sight for the Phuket economy returning to normal with tourism still at a trickle to what was before.

Sets of meals were also delivered to nearby local villages.

Until then we keep calm and move on! One daily hot meal, only $1 to make. Please help us make 15,000 hot meals a dream come true! Donate here.

Many hungry mouths come to wait for their food pack daily. Please help us help them.

Menu: Pumpkin, scrambled egg with Thai basil and fried chicken, Pumpkin fried rice

Meals served: 172

Record long queues with all the meals picked up and collected in 15 minutes. "Not enough to give!!" says Sunee. While many of us are blessed with sufficient food security, sadly a disproportionate number on the island paradise of Phuket are facing unemployment, with mounting financial obligations and young children to feed. We hope our community project can bring relief to the most economically stricken tourist zone in Phuket - Patong and its surrounds. One hot meal a day, costs us $1 to make. Please help us complete our funding to enable 15,000 hot meals! Click here to donate.

Please queue up!

A meal worth waiting for - uniquely Thai

Today, we also want to thank our volunteer crew who came in and packed up the meals in record 2 hours! It always makes things go quicker with help, good banter and cheer. If you want to volunteer, please reach out and contact us via email. We benefit from having 1-2 volunteers Mon-Friday. Spread the love and let us know if you would like to help.

Menu: Chicken and pineapple cucumber with rice, chicken rice porridge

Meals Served: 147

Word has truly spread on our Hot Meals project, with many queuing up for a pack of food way before 5pm in order to secure a meal. We are noticing new faces now which is to be expected once word started spreading that Aland and Sunee is consistently serving out daily meals.

Also, we have to take a moment to appreciate Sunee's innovative and creative Thai dishes. She gets the perfect Thai taste, with a variety of ingredients that one does not see at many Thai restaurants. Today's meal is a good example of "off-menu" Thai food!!

Healthy and hearty all at the same time!

We are seeing strong positive response to our food relief efforts now. While there are other ongoing projects on the island to provide Life Bags of staple goods, what Alan and Sunee are doing at their Hot Meals project is to complement the spotty donations of Life Bags, with a consistent daily hot meal. Please help to close out our funding gap - we are 50% there to financing 15,000 hot meals.
