Menu: Hokkien mee, Tom yum soup and rice

Meals served: 283

A record number of meals served today. Many thanks to our volunteers and Khun Poo and her husband, who was kind enough to be frying up the noodles while Sunee made the side dishes. A lot of effort goes into each meal and whilst we thought we could have done well with one cook, having Khun Poo and her husband to help Sunee has been a game changer. We are making more meals in a shorter time and having trained volunteers makes the packing go fast.

The queues seem to start earlier these days and snakes around the block. Kids, families, elderly, coming from as far as Kathu for a pack of food. Please help us hit our goals of serving 15,000 hot meals. Donate here.

We delivered meals to the nearby sois and Burmese camps.

If you wish to volunteer time, please contact hotmealsphuket@icloud.com. Or if you prefer to donate items in kind, also email us to coordinate.

Menu: Chicken curry, chicken porridge

Meals served: 228

Busy day today with Sunee making 2 meal types. Our kitchen operations with our expanded team and new volunteers really help make things go quickly! It is amazing to see the operation grow and we hope our meals continue to nourish the needy.

So here is a good community tit bit! Our new cook was previously a receipient of our hot meals. Sunee has now offered her a role in our kitchen to help prep and cook the meal service! We are helping to create local employment now :)

Her husband now volunteers with food distribution!

We are a community project that is creating local impact.

We are sending out more meals than ever. Thank you to everyone who has given us your charity!

Menu: Chicken noodles with wontons

Meals served: 225

A fresh dish on the menu today! Chicken noodles with wontons - very yummy. We are consistently packing more than 200 meals per day now and this is due to our kind donors who have provided us with funding to keep going. We can feed more, so please do donate generously, your money will not go to waste!

We are scaling up! We have now expanded the team to include a second cook. This means we can consistently operate the kitchen and provide meal service!

Still long queues daily. And many families....we hope our hot meal helps their day go a bit better!
